Doctoral Student Xu Gang from College of Biomedical Engineering and Instrumental Science won Top 10 Academic Achievement of the Year, Qizhen Cup with their project on Soft Wearable Smart Patch with Biochemical Sensor. The final evaluation of the selection and defense meeting was held on the afternoon of Jun. 28th, 2020.
The project to build the Soft Wearable Smart Patch with Biochemical Sensor utilized the electrochemical sensing circuit and a variety of biochemical sensors. Near field communication (NFC) has carried out on the system integration module, implemented a series of biochemical sensing detection and application of wearable, such as breath, sweat and tissue fluid in various biochemical analysis of the target material, which can be realized from the molecular level health monitoring and diagnosis. It fills the huge gap in the current field of the wearables and has a broad market and application prospect.
This project involves biology, chemistry, medicine, hardware and software, etc, with strong interdisciplinary attributes. This project is the only applied design project among the doctoral students who participated in the defense. It has high academic value, but also has important practical value and outstanding transformation potential.
